Dark discoloration of the skin under the eye is mainly referred to as dark circles.They make people look exhausted, tired, unhealthy and older.
Some of the main reasons behind the formation of dark circles are aging, heredity, prolonged crying, dry skin, working for long hours in front of a computer, mental or physical stress, lack of sleep and an unhealthy diet, seasonal allergies like food allergies, hay fever, cosmetic allergies and allergens from the workplace or home.
WAYS TO GET RID OF DARK CIRCLES:
Cucumbers have antioxidants, silica, mild astringent properties. Shredded or sliced, just place it on your eyes and cure dark circles.
Good for soothing eyes and reduce dark blemishes. Soak cotton eye pads in rose water and keep on your eyes for half an hour. See the difference.
Dab on a few drops of almond oil and lightly massage it into the affected area before going to bed. The next morning, wash it away with water. It’s best for delicate skin which is under the eyes.

Dark circles may be caused due to deficiency of Vitamin E or Vitamin C. Before sleeping, apply Vitamin E or Vitamin C creams to reduce swelling and discolouration around eyes.

Wrap ice cubes in a cotton cloth. Apply it over closed eyes. It reduces tiredness and gives cooling effect to the eyes. Cool tea bags reduce puffiness of eyes. Apply cool caffeinated tea bags over your eyes for about 10-15 minutes. Tea bags and Ice are cool ways to get rid of dark circles under your eyes.

Dark circles under the eyes are a common occurrence in people who do not get enough sleep. Getting a 7-8 hour undisturbed sleep can help a lot.
